Ivano Fossati
Genova, (1951). Boasting collaborations with many other important songwriters, Fossati is himself one of Italy’s most prolific, refined and influential cantautori. He won five times the Premio Tenco and once the Poetry for Music section of the Librex Montale. His song writing is characterized by the research for the elusiveness of an object, a mysterious center that cannot even be fully described. Musically, Fossati’s style contains rock, pop and folk.
